Are you ready to align to the Cycles of Nature?

Since its first edition — 2015 — we, the creators, cannot imagine a year without the Kalindar.
Each year, the design changed a bit, evolved, refined.

We added features. We solved problems and understood the year — and maybe time itself — a bit better.

The artwork was is new with each edition. Usually some kind of Imago Mundi – an image of the world that you can admire as it is or get down and creative and add your touch, at will.

2025- We celebrate the beginning of a new cycle and feature the 2015 design, I Am The Forest (aka Omu-Pomu), backed up by the 2018 mandala and the Connect grid of dots as the matrix of it all.

The actual design of the kalindar remains unchanged, for it has reached its most refined shape.

Fun fact: time seems to flow faster around the equinoxes and slower around the solstices.

Something to remember: there is no perfect calendar. As precise as time measurements have become, all calendars are very approximate on longer periods of time, due to the many factors that affect the movement of Planet Earth through space.

What to expect

The Wheel of the Year:

each day is placed on one big circle containing all of the 365 (or 366) days of the year — the approximate time it takes Earth to revolve once around the Sun.

The Year starts on Ianuarius 1 and follows the direction of the white arrow, clockwise.

Lenght of months

is in accordance to the Gregorian calendar.
30,31, and 28 days in february 2021.

Names of the month

are in Latin, to celebrate their origin.
The Julian Calendar, proposed by Julius Caesar and designed with the aid of Greek mathematicians and astronomers took effect on 1 January —45 BC and was the predominant calendar in the Roman world and most of Europe for more than 1,600 years until 1582, the year the Gregorian calendar was introduced by Pope Gregory XIII. It is a minor twist of the Julian Calendar and it is now used in most of the world, at least for civil purposes.

Features of the Kalindar

*Weekdays* feature their alchemical symbol. Each day of the week ➞ the name of an important celestial body from our solar system and the name of an ancient god — as observed in roman languages. Fun fact: many other languages borrowed the Latin way to name the days of the week: names of the same planets or corresponding gods

*The exact moon phase* is shown next to each day. Every single day of the year, very easy to follow. For example, on the 19th of April 2021 the moon will be reaching its first quarter.

*The June solstice* marks the longest day of the year and the shortest night*. Celebrated as a Midsummer across cultures, it’s a perfect day to wait for The Sun to rise, along with friends, around a fire. You’ll be surprised at just how short that night was. From now on, nights start to get longer until the December solstice.

*The March equinox* means the beginning of the spring. Changes happen fast, as Nature flushes with life. Plants start to send their energy up, to form leaves and new growth. From now on, the day is longer than the night.

*The September Equinox* marks the beginning of autumn. Day is as long as Night but changes are very obvious from day to day. Plants start sending their energy back to the roots. From now on, the night is longer than the day.

*The December Solstice* marks the shortest day and the longest night in the northern hemisphere. The night is so long that people created myths about The Sun being born again and thus bringing hope of a new life. From now on, days start to get longer until the June solstice.*
